Open 2pm to 6pm Tuesday through Sunday

Open on Easter Monday, Pentecost as well as on the 1st and 8th of May.

From the 14th of July to the 15th of August:
Open 2pm to 6pm everyday
Guided visits on Fridays and Sundays at 3pm

From the 16th of August to All Saint’s Day:
Open 2pm to 6pm Tuesday through Sunday

La Maison des Traditions is located in Chassignolles, an authentic village in Indre, 6 km from La Châtre.

 
Located in the heart of the Vallée Noire (Black Valley), place of inspiration of many novels from George Sand, Chassignolles would take its name of "Cassagnolis" which means chestnut tree. Perched on a hill between the valleys of la Vauvre and la Couarde, the village invites you to stroll along its beautiful paths. It should be noted that, the church St-Etienne, classified as a historical monument.
 
• 2 circuits hiking themes are available:

      - Walk with Celestine. Story of a woman from the Berry by Gillian Tindall: 3.3 km (duration: 1 h)
     - The countryside over the centuries, testimony of buildings and landscapes: 15.6 km (duration: 4h 30)
